World’s first True octa-core Processor for Smartphones, Launched: MediaTek MT 6592

Chip-set manufacturer company MediaTek launched its latest processor for mobile phones with the tag of “World’s first True octa-core Processor”. MediaTek claims that chip-set which will support Android Kitkat OS will available from the starting of 2014.

The Mt 6592 processor have advance features which will support the Ultra HD (4K X 2K) video recording and playback. The chipset also comfortable with 16 megapixel camera and a full HD display. Other upgraded features like full connectivity for dual-band 801.11n Wi-Fi, Miracast screen-sharing as well as Bluetooth, FM tuner and GPS also made place in chip-set.

Jeffrey Ju, MediaTek General Manager, Smartphone Business Unit made a speech in launching event “We are thrilled to offer the new MT6592 to our customers as part of our ongoing commitment to providing inclusive mobile technology, The MT6592 delivers longer battery life, low-latency response times and the best possible mobile multimedia experience. Being the first to market with this advanced eight-core SOC is testament to the industry-leading position of MediaTek.”

In other statement Mr. Noel Hurley, ARM Vice President of Strategy and Marketing, Processor Division said “MediaTek has taken a pioneering position with the MT6592 by being the first to use the power-efficient ARMR CortexR-A7 processor in an octa-core configuration with the ARM Mali™ GPU, We are delighted that our partnership with MediaTek continues to deliver new and innovative mobile consumer products, extending our low-power and high-performance leadership in mobile devices.”

Intex also made an announcement that company will launch the smartphone with MT 6592 processor. No name hava been assigned to the device yet, but Intex confirmed that it will be launched in January 2014. In other specifications, smartphone will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Device include a display of 6-inch IPS LCD screen, 2GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory. Expected price of smartphone is around Rs. 20, 000 in India.
